Designed by McDonalds Douglas the Boeing aircraft is an strategic airlift aircraft designed for the US Air Force. This beast can take off with a maximum weight of 265 tonnes (72 tonnes of cargo) and can reach 540 mph equivalent to 917 km/hour. The US Air Force has 210 C-17 Globmaster 3 each costing around $330 Million.


4. F-22 Raptor: $350 Million


The supersonic Lockheed Martin tactical figher F-22 Raptor is considered to be most powerful and advanced military aircraft developed for the US Air Force. This little boy can fly at supersonic speed for long distances, destroy cruise missiles and avoid most types of radar detection. Each costing $350 Million the production ended in 2012 with 190 operational F-22.
